I came across Swagbucks while scouring the internet to find legit ways to make money online.
Now this system looks good to me, but of course, looks can be deceiving.
Sometimes even the biggest scams on the internet have the most professional-looking websites.
So that’s what I will be doing in this Swagbucks review, finding out if this system is actually legit or just another scam that you need to run far away from.
Without wasting anymore time, let’s get right into things!
Owners: Chuck Davis, Josef Gorowitz, Scott Dudelson, Eron Zehav
Business Type: Task-Based System
Overall Rating: 3/5 stars
Swagbucks is a task-based website that members can sign up to and earn money and rewards from.
Their headquarters are based in California, United States.
They have been going strong and have clearly stood the test of time, as they have been running since February 27, 2008.
Over that large amount of time, they have received a lot of good feedback and a lot of bad feedback too.
But we will find out what this mixed feedback is all about and discover if this system is truly legit, and if it is, if it’s even worth your time or not.
So as you have probably guessed by now, Swagbucks is a rewards/loyalty program.
Basically, you sign up with this system and start doing tasks.
The Different Tasks Available Include:
- Surfing the web
- Special offers
- Watching videos
- Completing surveys
- Shopping online
- Playing games
- Finding different content on the web
- And more
It’s not just money either, they have a bunch of different rewards, bonuses, and even sweepstakes up for grabs for people who put in the effort.
The currency on Swagbucks is called SBs, but more on that below.
Swagbucks (Or SBs)
Now you might THINK you’re receiving a whole lot of Swagbucks while you are earning them, but the sad truth is, 100 SBs equals 1 cent only!
However, even though a high amount of Swagbucks doesn’t seem like much at the very start, over time these daily tasks really start to add up to big results.
The tasks pay anywhere from 1 SB all the way up to 1000.
And if you want to know WHY they pay differently, it’s because surveys can take longer than other tasks, which is why surveys usually pay a lot more than the easier/faster ones.
But it is entirely up to you with what tasks you want to start doing.
You might enjoy shopping online, while others might enjoy playing video games to earn their SBs instead.
Yes, there is a feature called “Daily Goals”.
If you reach a certain amount of SBs on the Daily Goals meter for that day, you earn BONUS SBs.
Keep in mind, these bonuses won’t be added right away, they get added to your balance at the start of the next month.
What I like about the bonuses is that they REALLY start to add up when you reach the goal on the meter every single day!
So now you know a little more about the tasks and the currency, I want to talk more about the rewards you can receive, which is probably why you are here as well, correct?
The rewards are what you receive when you redeem your SBs.
What I like about Swagbucks is that you can choose to have cash OR other rewards.
Available Rewards Include:
- Cash through PayPal (my favorite option)
- Gift cards for your favorite retail stores
- Game cards for your favorite video games (even Facebook and Steam!)
I love shopping online and I know many of you do, too. I thought I would mention this so you can see how powerful it really is.
This system MIGHT be a viable option for you if you are an avid shopper online, since they offer SB’s for people that use their “Shop and Earn” feature.
This is a cash-back rewards program, which lets you earn SBs JUST for doing what you do best, shop online.
Basically, you earn a varied amount of SBs per every dollar spent while you use the Shop and Earn feature.
So one feature that has helped keep this website going strong is the referral program!
You are able to refer friends and family into this system, for no cost whatsoever, and earn a nice referral bonus in the process.
When those people that signed up under you do the tasks and earn SBs, you will earn a small % of what they earn.
And the best part about it?
It lasts for life! As long as those people are constantly active within the system, you are going to earn SBs on complete autopilot until they stop. This is passive income in action.
So it is best to get hundreds, or even thousands of people for best results, and watch those referral dollars pour in.
Where Do I Get Access & How Much Does It Cost?
First and foremost, you can not sign up with Swagbucks unless you are from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Germany, France, or India.
If you’re able to join, you can do so at their official website here: www.swagbucks.com.
There’s no credit card required either, so it is completely free to join and participate in, meaning you can start doing the available tasks right away.
Pros and Cons
- You can actually earn real money and rewards
- It is free to join with no strings attached and no unexpected up-sells
- You earn rewards for completing tasks that you are already doing on a daily basis anyway
- Too time consuming if you ask me
- Not every search on the web will give you SBs
- You won’t be able to quit your day job
- It is not a viable business opportunity, as it’s only good for “side income”
So Is Swagbucks A Scam Or Legit?
No, Swagbucks is not a scam.
They are a legit company with real ways to earn rewards and money for your efforts.
Now because they have been rewarding people for a very long time, I have no doubts that they will KEEP staying as a legit company as well.
So yes, Swagbucks is definitely a legit way to make real money online. But depending on your activity and use, it may not amount for much.
So, in saying that, don’t expect to fulfill that long-held fantasy of firing your boss anytime soon if you decide to join SBs!
What I Really Think About Swagbucks
Even though you can earn real money with Swagbucks, in my honest opinion, it just isn’t worth your time.
Especially not when there’s better opportunities out there, as Swagbucks is not a viable business option.
If you aren’t looking to make a living online, then by all means give it a go for yourself, because you can definitely make some money by doing the tasks.
However, if you’re a person that is looking to make a full-time income online so you can quit your day job, then you need to steer clear from Swagbucks altogether, as it’s just not worth your time.
You’re better off starting a real online business.
It is something I have done and it is what I highly recommend for you to try out as well.
And don’t worry, it is completely free to join and try for yourself, so you can check it all out and see if you will like it or not before handing over your hard-earned money.
I hope I helped you make the right decision for your future needs.
