What is Unique Rewards? My 2017 Review – SCAM ALERT

Www UniqueRewards com is a website that pays you for clicking on ads and reading emails. It’s free to join. They also pay you for participating in special offers, watching movie trailers and videos, and completing surveys.

Best of all, you get a $5 bonus for signing up, and another $5 for every new user you refer to Unique Rewards!

However, none of this actually matters because they don’t actually pay out.

Unique Rewards: Scam?

While unique Rewards has been alive and kicking online since 2003, they refused to pay me when I tried to cashout my balance .

Unlike most of their competition, Unique Rewards claims to still offer cash payouts to members. They say they will pay you once a week, on Monday, but that’s a lie. I’ve had a this protracted back and forth with them for months in trying to cash out my measly $30.

Many alternative competitor sites to Unique Rewards, ones that also offer passive income through pay-per-click, paid emails, watching videos, listening to the radio, and completing surveys, will only pay you with their own currency or “points”, which can then be redeemed for gift cards.

How It Works

UniqueRewards - online rewards programAfter signing up for your free membership, you’re ready to go. You can explore the site and begin completing surveys, offers, and reading paid emails. There are many different types of offers daily.

My favorite job is the “Clicks” tab. You get usually 7-10 offers every day to simply click on a website. And you get paid .01 for each click. For something so easy that takes moments of your spare time, it can add up.

Another great option is the “Radio offer” . You get .03/30 minutes the radio plays. I often have it up in a separate tab while I’m online, with my computer muted. Just go and click the “Captcha” every 30 minutes, and you earn .03. This adds up fast over time!

Unique Rewards also pays you to watch videos. Usually these videos are movie or video game trailers. You get paid rather generously for these, usually about .01/90 second video. There are different offers every day: some are limited to 50 views/day, some are unlimited.

If you’re unemployed, or otherwise just working on your computer at home, Unique Rewards is a great way to rack up some extra, free cash on the side.

Unique Rewards Cash Back

Unique Rewards offers tons of different “categories” of offers – surveys, research projects, health & beauty, gaming, 100% free offers, You select any category that interests you, and see a list of the different offers available that day. At the top of the list of offers, you will see the total dollar amount available of rewards to members for completing all of the offers in that category.

You can accumulate significant kickbacks and cash back by signing up for trial offers on Unique Rewards.

Your input matters

Unique Rewards displays user ratings, which are left by other members who have completed those offers. Look up at the red five star image on the offer listings.

What this means is you can try something out with four stars with high confidence that the experience will be positive and profitable. When you’re new to the site, I recommend starting out with offers that have already been rated highly.

Or, you can try something new and be the first to leave your opinion about it, to guide other members.

AND, if you have a negative experience, you get to post a complaint! With enough complaints, Unique Rewards removes offers and ends opportunities for advertisers. They know your time is valuable and don’t want to waste it.

This built-in opportunity to leave feedback and inform other members of what’s good and what to avoid is a big part of why Unique Rewards is easy to use and has had a long life for this business model. It also shows a level of respect for members that is unusual in these kinds of sites.

Adding to this point, I personally have used Unique Rewards customer support when having issues with offers (which happens on all these kinds of sites occasionally). Amazingly, the customer support at Unique Rewards responds to my emails right away, and makes things right by coordinating with the advertiser and crediting my account.  However, none  that matters if they ultimately don’t pay you.

When Do You See The Money?

UniqueRewards - online rewards programOK. So you’ve signed up, collected your free $5, you’ve done a bunch of surveys, you’ve been paid to watch videos, and you’ve gotten paid to complete various free registrations. And you want your money now. So when will you get it?

For each task you complete at UniqueRewards.com, your account is credited anywhere between 5 minutes to 30 days after you’re done. Because of this schedule, definitely keep track of all your tasks, so that you can contact the support team in case credit doesn’t show up in your account.

And once you get into the habit of completing offers regularly, you will be disappointed to find they won’t pay you when it’s time to cash out.

Another thing that’s really important to remember: when completing your cash offers, note that each offer has different rules and requirements.

What do I mean by this? Ok, if you’re signing up for a trial membership in order to get a $10.00 credit at Unique Rewards, one site might let you cancel quickly after signing up while still receiving your credit, but another offer might require you to stay signed up for a longer period of time (in the free trial) before honoring your credit.

This is something to be aware of on ANY PPC/survey/paid emails site, because you don’t want to find yourself accidentally signed up for offers you didn’t really want and were completing only to take advantage of the cash bonus.

  1. Hi Steph,

Thanks for informing me of this rather simple and genuine opportunity to earn a few extra bucks in my spare time. The pay out for some tasks may be a little low but I think it is a great way for my son to earn a little extra pocket money so he can buy all the sports equipment that he needs!

    1. Thanks for the feedback, it’s definitely a pocket money thing unless you refer a large network of people. Enjoy!

  2. Hello Steph
I must say I have never heard of Unique Rewards but it seems a good way for stay at home moms to earn some extra cash.
I must also say that I haven’t seen such a program offering $5 referral bonus plus 10% of whatever your referrals as well as $% just to sign up.
If I was interested in this I also must say I would be a wee bit suspicious of this generosity.
Usually people who get involved with surveys are very poorly paid and sometimes not at all.
However I will reserve judgement and give it a go for a few weeks and see if its all that its cracked up to be.
    Robert Allan

    1. I think they’re able to provide the generous sign-up and referral bonuses because they profit from the network of advertisers who benefit from exposure to the large community of Unique Rewards users. It’s true that many of these sites pay poorly or not at all (many are scams). I dedicated my first review of such sites to one that I know works. Hopefully you can rack up some extra scratch, thanks for the feedback!

  3. Sad to read that Unique Rewards is not available in Sweden… It sound like a great way to earn some extra money. One thing that hits me when I read your post: if its all free, how do Unique Rewards earn money? Every service or site like this need to earn money I guess, and I’m curious to find out. I think it might be that the companies with the ads clicked are paying? Thanks for a great post, I like your site and think I can find some more useful information here.

    1. Thanks for the feedback and the question, Linda! Unique Rewards earns money from their advertisers, who pay for space on their site (and exposure to members) as well as kickbacks from when users act on the offers. Definitely browse around, there are other opportunities reviewed on this site available to people worldwide!

  4. Hi Steph
Thanks for the thorough Review of Unique Rewards. I have never heard of this before but reason being is probably because I reside in Australia. The thing about sites like these is they tend to be time consuming. Do you experience that and even though you do get paid is it minimal compared to your time?

    1. It is minimal, but I’m not someone who completes a lot of the offers/signs up for trials and whatnot. I prefer to watch free videos and read the paid emails for my payouts. it’s one of many income streatms!

    2. Thanks so much for the question, Sharon. I would say that the pay is very minimal compared to time, but time is money. And time spent putzing around the internet CAN be monetized, even for those who aren’t ready to take the plunge into affiliate marketing and business building. One goal for this blog is to provide guidance on some of the better ways to do that, ones that are definitely not scams!

  5. Nice article on unique rewards, i agree this program is on the up but from my own experience it does not pay enough considering the time you must put in to earn any amount of extra cash.

I would recommend going with an affiliate marketing company which would be much more worth your time and effort, but if you want something to do and not really caring if you earn anything this might be something for you.

    1. Hi Jeffrey, thanks so much for the comment. I agree that affiliate marketing is definitely the better option for a lifestyle change, but for people looking to make a few bucks here or there online by doing free, easy stuff, Unique Rewards is a good choice.

  6. Is it similar to clixsense? Or better? I have my fair share of survey sites. The pay is not that great. Spent minutes answering preliminary questions only to know I’m not qualified. How is it any different? Well, I think I’ll check it out for myself. And hopefully it accept users from my country.

    1. It’s better than clicksense because you can use it around the world. The pay on these sites isn’t great but Uniquerewards has a number of totally free tasks that add up. Also, and most importantly, Uniquerewards actually pays out and on time, unlike most of these sites.

  7. I’ve never heard of Unique Rewards before. But, I know it’s rare to see a survey company give out in cash anymore. This one sounds like it might be worth giving a try. Thanks for the review

  8. I like how this program pays you with cash, and not just lame gift cards! I just habe one question though, are there ANY upsells? Anything similar to this online program tends to claim that you can make lots of money online, but how much can the average person expect to make by using Unique rewards?

    1. Thanks for the questions – no, there are no upsells! No need to “buy” membership or anything like that. If you take advantage of all the offers and tasks and refer friends, you can make a respectable sum daily. Some peopleclaim to make hundreds a day from referrals alone!

  9. Hi dear
This is really something good for one to get an extra income. With the easy tasks you can be doing it on your spare time. Without really penalising the daily schedule.

I’m really interested but it’s really unfortunate that we can’t get it in Africa. I’m sure people would have love it!

  10. Great Content! Very informative! I’ve been looking for ways to make money from home online and will check this out!

  11. Sounds like it is a good way to collect on your down time from other things. As long as they pay and are legitimate then I guess if you have the time it would be worth collecting here and there. My experience with these type of things is that it is usually a minimum balance before payout and it takes quite awhile to get there but it is money that can be well used. My question is will you be bombarded with a lot of emails. I hate it when that happens.

    1. Thanks for the great question. Unlike cash crate and cash4offers and inbox dollars, Unique Rewards sends out emails once or max twice a day. And you get .01 for just clicking on the email. It’s not spammy at all, and you can see the earnings immediately through the Unique Rewards sites. I think a lot of these other sites are just bad clones of a good idea, and what makes Unique Rewards so different is that they actually do pay you for a wide variety of free tasks and do a good job of tracking your earnings in real time. It’s a great choice for people like me who don’t like signing up for trials, but still like the idea of easy paid tasks.

  12. well that’s a new one to me ! thanks for the information on Unique rewards. I will have to look into it. see if I have enough spare time to make a little bit of holiday money !
I will keep checking in for new ideas from you.

    1. Hi Paul – thanks for the great comment. It’s definitely a good way to make spare money while you’re bumming around on the internet, or if you already work from home online like I do.

  13. Hi Steph,
Thanks for the info about this…It seemed this one you have here is legit…Will check the link later sounds interesting…

  14. I’m not a big fan of reward sites but I must say Unique Rewards is one of the few rewards sites that pay well
It’s a great way to earn some extra cash!
    Thank you!

  15. Unique rewards is a site that I have tried before and it is amazing is not much money that you are paid but it is better to have the money and no giftcards. Unique rewards is simple and easy to handle. Great post.

  16. I have tried doing surveys, watching videos and going to websites but none actually offers cash as a reward, just points. I have never heard of Unique Rewards but how can they get away with not paying their members? Is that possible? And to think that they have been around since 2003

  17. It’s irritating that they don’t pay out because i’m sure it’d be a great program if they did!

I suppose greed in the worlld never seems to slow down…

Thanks for the heads up Penelope!

  18. Thank you so much for sharing such a useful information about earning some extra money online in an easy way. I really like this post and your review is great. Now a days we all need extra money as expenses keeps on increasing day by day and this article will help many….A great Article…:)

  19. I wish I had come across your articles a few years ago. I tried this and didn’t work since it was not available in my country but my friend, who has access to it and who initially invited me to check it out, had a very difficult time accumulation rewards. The 20 dollar minimum seemed like a 1000 dollars out of her reach. She lost a lot of her time on this without gaining a significant amount. It’s just sad.
